Export Control Reform: Categories I, II, III

As part of Export Control Reform that began in 2011, the Department of State and the Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security have published final rules revising USML Categories I, II, and III controlling firearms and ammunition which will transfer many of these items to the Commerce Control List. The final rule will take effect on March 9, 2020.
